"We are shaped and fashioned by what we love.”

The upbringing you have is a large portion of what forms the chemistry of who you become. Thankfully I have wonderful parents who instilled in me compassion of other people. My first blog was about the first time I donated blood and how happy it made me to know that I could give back to someone who truly needed it. So instead of sitting back and admiring my accomplishment I wanted to give another donation on a bigger level. Which leads me to "Be the Match". "Be the Match" is an organization by www.marrow.org which people donate their bone marrow to patients suffering from Leukemia.

Leukemia starts in the bone marrow where blood cells are made.
When you are healthy, your bone marrow makes:
When you have leukemia, the bone marrow starts to make a lot of abnormal white blood cells, called leukemia cells. The blood cells grow faster than normal cells, and they don't stop growing when they should.
Over a period of time, leukemia cells can crowd out the normal blood cells.

I personally don't have the means to donate money but I believe my donation is so much more. It's life saving and I hope that I become a match for someone .... someday.

This past week has been a very hectic time with my work. It's insane to me in such a little amount of time i'm being whisked away here and there. I absolutely love it. This week started in Orlando at the campus of UCF where I began recruiting new customers as well as new reps. I would say that the event went very well and I can't wait to see the new shining stars rise to potential. After my 3 days there I traveled to Ft. Lauderdale for a Neiman Marcus Charity Event. Words could not describe my excitement. Claudia Pouccia is the President of mark. avon and is a very close friend to Kerry who was hosting the event. Kerry's son has Autism and the charity event supports the cause and awareness. Proudly mark makeup artists were on hand for all models. As we entered the ball room every chair was decked with a mark gift bag with some wonderful goodies inside. I was honored that I got to sit at the main table with Kerry & her family, the CEO and managers of Neiman Marcus of Ft. Lauderdale as well as big talent agents. I got a front row glance at all the amazing clothes and did I mention I was able to sit in front of Miami football players wives ... lol. The whole experience was beyond amazing and the real wonderful thing is that my love for fashion can intertwine with my compassion for people. It just doesn't get better than this.

The wonderful mark makeup team!!
